The NewMDSX Editor/Program Interface

provides a simple means to view and edit the files used in the course of working with NewMDSX for Windows, with the ability to change font types, sizes and colours, to search for strings, edit, annotate and save the files displayed in either of the two resizeable panels.

Besides offering to open or save files, the File menu also allows you to Reopen files you have recently used, without having to search for them again.  Alternatively, you can click on the appropriate buttons to open and save files from and to Windows directories in the usual way. When files contain  images , the editor can be used to outline and label features of interest.

It also serves as an interface to control the execution of all NewMDSX procedures. Simply click on the Run button on the toolbar to execute a selected procedure, taking as input the file currently displayed in the input window.

The editor interface appears automatically on starting NewMDSX. It allows, for example, the annotation and systematic storage of results as well as the creation and amendment of input files for the various NewMDSX procedures.

The menus and corresponding buttons allow saving and printing the files displayed, as well as searching, cutting and copying to and from the Clipboard.

You will be prompted to save a file before moving to a new procedure if the contents displayed have been changed.
